Andina Trout is a technified production farm belonging to Piscícola de Occidente SAS, a Colombian company dedicated to the export of trout. It was founded in 2011, and the first export was made in 2016. Since then, We have maintained our presence in the international market, becoming the largest exporter of trout in the country.
Our plant has the highest quality standards and a highly specialized team. Our processes are certified according to international HACCP and BAP standards.
Our raw material comes from high mountain areas, from facilities located in natural environments with excellent quality water; processed in a plant certified under international standards GMP, HACCP, BAP; Our activities being environmentally friendly.

Según un estudio realizado por investigadores de la Universidad de Murdoch, la Dra. Essie Rodgers y el Dr. Daniel Gómez Isaza, el ejercicio puede ayudar a los peces de cualquier especie a ganar peso a un ritmo acelerado, y por lo tanto, alcanzar tamaños comercializables más rápido. Esto permite que la producción sea más eficiente.
Nuestro sistema productivo lleva a los peces a realizar el ejercicio suficiente para generar este efecto. Inyectamos grandes cantidades de aire de forma orientada en diferentes puntos del estanque para de esta manera mover el agua, desgasificar, oxigenar, retirar las excretas, el alimento no consumido, la mortalidad y finalmente generar las corrientes que llevan a los peces a ejercitarse.
Este nado contra corriente, además de desarrollar la musculatura, genera confort en los animales. Estos sistemas nos permiten controlar la calidad del agua y tener animales con bienestar, bajo contenido de grasa y por tanto excelente textura y espesor de los filetes.

Andina Trout es el cultivo mas tecnificado en Colombia en la actualidad. Está ubicada en el Municipio de Abriaquí en la cordillera occidental de los andes colombianos. Adaptamos la tecnología patentada por RASchile (www.raschile.cl) a las condiciones de cultivo que se presentan en nuestro país, y desde el año 2021 contamos con modelos probados de esta, obteniendo resultados asombrosos.
Dicha tecnología nos ha permitido tener un alto nivel de seguridad, garantizando el bienestar de los animales y el cuidado del medio ambiente.
